To all Easton Youth Soccer Recreation and Travel players, families and supporters:

We hope that this email finds you all healthy and safe.  Based on direction provided by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, we have been recently notified that the previously announced extension of Mass Youth Soccer’s suspension of all affiliated and sanctioned soccer activities statewide is now further extended through and including Sunday, June 14, 2020, at a minimum. As a result, we will need to reluctantly announce that the Easton Youth Soccer League (EYSL) Spring 2020 soccer season is canceled.  This is not what players, families or coaches wanted to hear; however, the safety and protection of our players and families must come first.

Credits, Refunds and Donations of Spring 2020 Fees

After careful analysis, we have determined that we are able to provide a credit or refund of 70%  of your paid spring 2020 registration fees after taking into consideration fixed expenses incurred, including a director of coaching, field maintenance, insurance, registration fees and other administrative expenses.  You may also choose to donate your spring 2020 fees.

The following information outlines the process for requesting a credit, refund or donation of the Spring 2020 registration fees:

●      Credits for Travel Players playing in Summer 2020 In-Town League or Fall 2020/Spring 2021 season-Travel players with paid Spring 2020 registration fees may apply their credit to play in the Summer 2020 In-Town League or the Fall 2020/Spring 2021 season.  No action is required on your part to receive this credit. All travel families will receive a separate communication to allow you to opt in and to apply your Spring 2020 credit for the In-town League or Fall 2020/Spring 2021 season.

●      Credits for Fall 2020/Spring 2021 Development Programs (Pre K through Grade 2)  – For those families in our Development Programs (Pre K through Grade 2) which prefer to apply their Spring 2020 credit to future EYSL programming, no action is required on your part to receive a credit for the Fall 2020/Spring 2021 season. When you register for a Fall 2020/Spring 2021 program, EYSL will automatically apply the Spring 2020 credit to your registration.

●      Refunds – If you do not intend to register for a Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 program or you would prefer a refund of your paid Spring 2020 fees, you can complete the REFUND OR DONATION REQUEST FORM at the link belowPlease be aware that this is a manual process for our volunteer organization. Refund checks will be mailed within 2 to 3 weeks after receipt of your  request.

●      Option to Donate to Easton Youth Soccer – EYSL is  a 501(c)(3) organization and we rely heavily on registration fees to fund our programs. If you are able to apply your Spring 2020 credit as a donation to EYSL, we would graciously accept it as this will help us continue to provide programming to our community in future seasons. Please note that this donation may be tax deductible and we will provide a receipt for donations, you can complete the REFUND OR DONATION REQUEST FORM.

Please complete this REFUND OR DONATION REQUEST FORM to submit your request for a Refund or to Donate your credit to EYSL.

We would greatly appreciate your support with this process by requesting either a refund or electing to donate by June 30, 2020. After this date, the default action for all Spring 2020 registration fees will be to apply the credit for a future EYSL programing through June 30, 2021.

We will continue to monitor developments from Governor Baker’s planned phases in reopening Massachusetts as well as Mass Youth Soccer. We will also send more communications soon regarding upcoming programs as we turn our attention to the Summer 2020 Travel In-Town league, Summer Camp and the Fall 2020 season, which our Bounce Back Committee and Director of Coaching John Barata have been working on.

Thank you all for your patience and support during these challenging times.  More importantly, we look forward to getting back on the fields and seeing everyone in the near future.

Stay safe and healthy,

Easton Youth Executive Board
